“Rowdy” Busch Has A NOS-Tastic Birthday!
It must be hard being the most dominate driver in NASCAR when you’re only 23! Busch turned 23 on May 2nd and boy did he kick off his 23rd year on the planet with a bang! We don’t have to remind you that Kyle leads the Sprint Cup points right now and is the winningest driver in NASCAR right now in 2008. Needless to say, we had some celebrating to do! NOS threw Kyle a monster birthday bash held in downtown Charlotte, at Cans. VIP’s galore were in attendance with many familiar faces there to help with the celebration! So what does a 23-year-old millionaire want for his birthday? What any 23 year old would want…. The baddest freaking T’Shirt cannon on the planet! That’s right race fans, don’t be surprised if you see KB jump out of his car and fire off some NOS T’s into the stands….. Something tells us this isn’t a far stretch here! Chris Forsberg Holds Onto Top Spot In Formula D!
Round 2 of the Formula Drift Championship invaded the south for the 5th straight year this last weekend. The threat of incoming thunderstorms didn’t detour the record crowd from cheering on the world’s best drifters as they slide around the technical high speed Road Atlanta Drift course. The NOS Energy Drink Drift Team looked great during practice runs setting some of the highest entry speeds recorded. But prior to qualifying, the judges decided to move the location of where they captured the entry speed affecting their original gear setup and producing lower entry speeds for qualifying. The team still qualified in the top 16 getting them into the main event that night. The event didn’t end like Chris wanted, but he competed well enough to hold on to his spot on top of the points for Formula D. If you get a chance to come out to a Formula D event, make sure to come out and meet Chris and the crew.

NOS Lexus SC 300

Many of you are familiar with the NOS Energy Drink Lexus SC 300 that toured the nation all year last year. In the offseason, NOS worked hard at revamping the car and coming out with something nice and fresh. The long awaited debut was held at Hot Import Nights in Washington DC. It was only one year ago where this Lexus was on display at shows across the nation with a fully polished 1JZ motor matted to a R154 transmission on a fully reinforced SC 300 chassis, spot welded, 24 point roll cage, and front fender tubs. Topped off with a Origin body kit, laying low on GT-V Volk’s and a BASF custom NOS blue and orange finish.
Just when you thought it couldn't get any better than that, NOS took it up a notch and re-did the car, giving our fans something more to love! The makeover started with a heart transplant from a Toyota V8 Tundra Motor into the SC 300, accompanied by a pair of Garrett GT30R's. To keep this motor pumping LM24 blue printed a MIL-Spec wiring set up that is found in most high end race cars. The air to feed this monster comes from a custom V mount dual Mishimoto intercooler and radiator set up that was built by LM24. To match the 22oz NOS Energy look and feel, NOS placed a rare Vertex Ridge Wide body kit with a set of GT-M Volk’s, Dunlop tires and a BASF NOS orange spray tan.
There is so much more to this car, that you just have to experience it in person. Come on out to any HIN event, and make your way over to the NOS booth where you will see the Lexus on display looking nice and pretty. Enjoy the pics.

With small cars being the new “it” thing it’s very fitting that there be a magazine dedicated to this not so small segment of automotive enthusiasts. Siphon magazine delivers with great articles on how to hook up your micro-compact and this month they’re featuring a NOS-ified Toyota Yaris Coupe. This NOS Energy Yaris is really incredible and you can’t miss its perfect Sun Burst Orange paint.
